We hold meetups on a regular basis in the city and around Melbourne. Check out our events below, (cross-published on Facebook and Discord) for details on what we’re doing in the near future.
We aim to schedule a social/tabletop meetup every month. Other events, such as gaming nights, are run whenever we can organise one.
Feel free to post your ideas for meetups in our networking channels, or about anything you’re going to or involved with that you’d like others to know about.
Join us!
Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Join our Facebook social community and Discord.
We’re always growing, and everyone who wants to be a part of our community is welcome to. So let your friends know about us, too.
The Facebook group requires approval to join, but we’re a quick turnaround on requests, so jump on and say ‘Hi!’. If you think your request has been mistakenly denied as spam, please message our Facebook page.
About Us
Melbourne Gaymers started in 2011 via Reddit, and then Facebook. More recently Discord has become the home for our members.
Our Association
We officially founded Melbourne Gaymers as an incorporated association in 2023. ABN 45 158 126 828. Our event attendees and participants are users of our associations services.
An association helps us apply a common set of rules (the constitution) that govern how our organisation runs. It lets us perform simple tasks such as opening a bank account, protecting funds, and more complex ones like apply for government grants and funding, and protection when running events.
Please reach out to a current member if you wish to become part of the committee.
Current Key Officeholders
- President / Convenor: Jake Edwards
- Secretary: Alex Bull
- Treasurer: Robert Honey
Not-for-Profit Status
As we are a registered not-for-profit (NFP) organisation, as per our constitution, assets must not be distributed to the members or former members of the Associations, and (subject to the Act and any Court order) must be distributed to another NFP organisation or NFP organisations that provide a similar purpose as that of the association.
